I. Certificate of the award winner with recognition of the achieved place in the contest.
II. Concert performance of the work during the international concert tour of Duo Skarka-Pohl in the Czech Republic
and Mexico with all related promotion of the composition and its author.
III. Professional audio and video recordings of the works, both live and in studio.
Results of the 1st Janacek - Revueltas Composition Award 2008
Participants selected for
being performed during the independent concert production in the Czech Republic and Mexico:
1. Jose Miguel
Delgado Azorin for his work El mar sigue adelante, based on a poem by Jose Emilio Pacheco.
2. Carlos Barraza for his cycle of Tres Poemas, based on poems by Jaime Sabines.
3. Alexander Phillip Daniels Torres for his cycle Un dia, based on a cycle of short poems by Jose Juan Tablada.
4. Mario Duarte for his work Inventar la verdad, based on a poem by Xavier Villaurrutia.
5. Marco Cecchetti for his work Li-Po, based on a poem by Jose Juan Tablada.
Jury would like
to congratulate to all winners as well as to those who were not selected for all their work was of surprisingly high quality.
Special Awards
After an enormously succesful production stage of the project, Duo Skarka-Pohl decided to give particular recognition
to the selected members of the management by a special honorary award for contributing to the production and organization
of the 1st Janacek - Revueltas Composition Award 2008.
